Blue House Gifts & Gallery in Greenfield, NH is just north of Peterborough in a region that is home to over 400 artists, writers and craftspeople.
It was started after successfully selling Kazuri jewelry for a friend who builds schools, clinics and dormitories in the Maasai Mara in Kenya. A library was built out in the bush with the money from our sale of Kazuri and we continue to support this effort with half of the proceeds going back to Kenya. This educates the Maasai and gives jobs to the Kikukyu whose women very often have to support their extended families of 20 or more.
We have met the artisans whose hand crafted wares we carry and are dedicated to bringing you beautiful, unique handcrafted items from New Hampshire, New England and beyond.
Many of our items would make great wedding or hostess gifts or a lovely addition to your home. The Gallery has been called a "hidden gem" by a bride who came in the day before her wedding rehearsal to buy gifts for her wedding party and a beautiful necklace for herself. She said she knew she would find that special gift here!
